Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Athlevo Poweredby AfriEndorse collects and uses personal data on Athlevo, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, phone (optional), password (hashed), account type.
• Profile data: sports information, location, photos, achievements, statistics and media you choose to add.
• Transaction data: bookings, payments, refunds and payouts. Card details are handled by our payment partners and never stored by us.
• Verification documents: stored privately and only visible to you and authorised reviewers.
• Usage data: log-ins, IP address and actions needed for security and analytics.

2. How we use it

• To provide the marketplace: profiles, search, bookings, payments, messaging and reviews.
• To keep users safe: verification, fraud prevention, safeguarding and moderation.
• To send service notifications, and marketing only if you opt in.

3. Children’s data

Profiles of athletes under 18 are hidden from search engines and public listings, show an age band instead of a date of birth, and require verifiable parent or guardian consent before bookings or messaging.

4. Sharing

We share data with coaches/athletes you transact with (only what is needed), payment providers, hosting and email providers acting on our instructions, and authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

We keep data while your account is active. If you delete your account we anonymise your personal data, but keep financial records for as long as the law requires.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, export (Settings → Download my data), restrict or delete your data, and withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Contact hello@macodevltd.com.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, optional two-factor authentication, access controls and audit logs. No system is perfectly secure; please report concerns to us.
